Grad School

I have been in grad school for a long time now and I have found that it doesn't get much easier. Last year I came across "Some Thoughts on Grad School". The author gives a lot of solid advice on getting through grad school and making the most of it. I wish I had read this before starting out, but it has been useful nonetheless. More recently, in starting my job search, I read "What They Don't Teach You in Graduate School". Again, I wish I had read this years ago, especially the section on the meaning of a PhD.

Hopefully, someone closer to the start of their program will read and find useful these articles, because, let's face it, in grad school, you can use all the help you can get.
