Hurricane Earl (appearing as a tropical storm) hit Halifax this morning. He blew lots of leaves around, broke some trees and tore down power lines. We lost power for most of the day and went shopping in the Bayer's Lake shopping district to take advantage of lights and AC.
While out shopping, we witnessed an car accident, that at first seemed to involve 3 cars, but afterwards appears to have involved 6 or 7. Yikers. It scared me.
Tomorrow we will likely head to Point Pleasant to survey the damage there.
